You will be working for a leading supplier within the engineering industry based in Oldbury. You will be working 1:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Thursday and 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Fridays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch plus two 15 minutes paid breaks.
As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative, you will be:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, picking and packing items for dispatch and booking goods in
- Ensuring all required paperwork is up to date
- Utilising manual handling equipment, cutting to requirements, completing inspections and packing finished goods
- Operating Bandsaws in the stainless-steel section
- Completing documents and relevant data within SAP
- Maintaining identification and traceability of products throughout the entire process
- Complying with safe working practises, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses in the workplace
- Achieving individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative, you will:
- Have experience operating overhead cranes up to 20 tonnes
- Have experience operating Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks
- Be computer literate; knowledge of SAP system is an advantage but not essential
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Have the ability to reprioritise tasks
- You may have experience of the following: Saw Machine or Steel Operative, Bandsaw or Saw Operator, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Production Assistant or Production or Warehouse Operative or Warehouse Assistant
As the Bandsaw and Warehouse Operative your salary will be £24,000 including 20% shift allowance per annum, plus a fantastic range of benefits.
