You will be working for a leading supplier within the engineering industry based in Oldbury. You will be working Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 2:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch plus two 15 minutes paid breaks.
As the Bandsaw Operative, you will be:
- Operating Bandsaws in the stainless-steel section
- Utilising manual handling equipment and cutting to requirements
- Completing inspections of cut steel to ensure quality standards and packing finished goods
- Completing documents and relevant data within SAP
- Maintaining identification and traceability of products throughout the entire process
- Complying with safe working practises, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses in the workplace
- Achieving individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
- General warehouse duties and any other duties as assigned, including stock taking, loading/unloading vehicles or picking/packing goods for despatch
As the Bandsaw Operative, you will:
- Have experience of operating a Bandsaw ideally within the steel industry
- Have experience of operating Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks and overhead cranes up to 20 tonnes
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Be computer literature; knowledge of SAP system is an advantage but not essential
- Have ability to reprioritise tasks
- You may have experience of the following: Saw Machine or Steel Operative, Bandsaw or Saw Operator, Sheet Metal Fabricator or Warehouse Operative
As the Bandsaw Operative, your salary will be £24,000 including 20% shift allowance per annum plus a fantastic range of benefits.
