Do you have previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice? Are you seeking a new challenge? We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant, you must have excellent IT skills to join our client’s busy team in their Birmingham Office.

Due to growth within the Birmingham Office, our client is looking for highly skilled entrepreneurial individuals to join their team to assist them in achieving their strategic goal of being the number one advisor to owner-managed businesses.  Our client is a top 15 accountancy firm specialising within the owner-managed business area across the UK.

As the Accounts Assistant your duties will include:

  • Managing the sales, purchase and nominal ledger management
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Dealing with the VAT reconciliation
  • Managing the petty cash and expenses management
  • Dealing with the wages transactions and reconciliation of salaries and wages control accounts
  • Preparing and filing of clients’ VAT returns

As the Accounts Assistant you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper using Xerox and SAGE
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • You may have experience of working as one of the following: Book keeper, Bookeeper, Assistant Accountant, Finance Administrator and VAT Administrator

As the Accounts Assistant you will receive a salary of circa £25,000 per annum, plus the following benefits:
