Credit Control Supervisor/Team Leader

We have an opportunity for an experienced Credit Control Supervisor/Team Leader to join a fast-paced credit control department in Coleshill.   Reporting into the Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for supporting, motivating and coaching a small team of collection advisors on a daily basis, whilst reporting on performance and working closely with the Credit Control Manager on shaping the collection teams strategy.   To apply for this role, you must have proven experience in managing a small team of people, have strong communication skills and be able to work in a busy fast paced role.

As the Credit Control Supervisor/Team Leader your salary will be £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience, your hours of work will be 9.00 am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and you will receive 33 days holiday, medical cover, company pension and free onsite parking.

As the Credit Control Supervisor, you will be:

  • Responsible for managing a small team of people,  objective setting, performance management and putting in place development plans to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
  • Negotiating payment plans and schedules to suit clients’ current financial situations whilst satisfying any debt
  • Managing arrears to ensure overdue debt is kept to a minimum working closely with customers to resolve payment
  • Provide a quality orientated, highly customer focussed service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Credit Control Manager in shaping the collections strategy ensuring that performance on activity levels remain in line with expectations
  • Adhering to FCA, Vulnerable Customers and Treating Customers Fairly guidelines and legislation
  • Responsible for the day to day and end to end management of arrears through to litigation, insolvency, repossession and returns


As the Credit Control Supervisor, you will have:

  • A proven track record working within a busy and fast paced credit control environment/collections environment
  • Experience in managing a small team of Collection Advisors, setting KPI’s and performance management
  • Have previous experience working within an FCA regulated environment is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work to
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Work and Powerpoint
  • You may have experience of the following: Senior Credit Controller, Collections Supervisor, Credit Control Supervisor, Credit Control Manager, Collections Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Credit Control Team Leader
