A great opportunity has arisen for a Customer Engagement Officer based in Great Barr, Birmingham. You will be joining an organisation that was formed over 30 years ago, you will be working for an association that builds successful, sustainable and diverse communities by providing housing and well-being services. 

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.  Benefits include 28 including Bank Holidays, cash plan system, option for 2 concessional days, free car parking, pension - 4% and an essential car user allowance of £103 per month. 

As the Customer Engagement Officer, you will be:

  • Assisting and supporting the Housing Service & Property Manager in the production of marketing and promotional programmes for customers and stakeholders
  • Ensuring the income of the business is maximises, working closely with Housing Officers and Scheme Managers to chase customers for late rent and other additional monies
  • Responsible for direct reports, ensuring the Scheme Managers are providing customer-focused housing services, monitoring performance, and working closely with internal teams to
  • Facilitating the implementation of the customer engagement framework in conjunction with scheme managers and housing officers under the direction of the Housing Services Manager
  • Leading with the Housing Services Manager to increase the number of customers involved and satisfied with their ability to shape and influence services
  • Responsible for: delivering performance targets; and maintain awareness of current issues in housing, health, social care services for the needs of vulnerable people in order to share specialist knowledge and assist in business planning
  • Attending meetings with Tenants either virtually or face to face, locally based in the West Midlands area
  • Aware of regulatory consumer standards and undertake annual review against standard

To be successful as the Customer Engagement Officer, you will have:

  • Ideally a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing / Chartered Institute of Builders or Institute of Chartered Surveyors
  • Previous experience working within a similar sector, such as the Housing / Building sector
  • Knowledge and an understanding of legislation frameworks including court processes and protocols
  • Experience in building relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • A full Driving Licence
  • You may have experience of the following: Customer Engagement Manager, Communications Specialist, Housing Customer Engagement Support, Tenancy Engagement Officer, Support Engagement Officer, Customer Engagement Officer, Local Engagement Officer, Operational Support and Customer Liaison Officer, Housing Engagement Officer or Support Engagement Manager

You will receive a salary of £31,637 - £32,270 per annum, plus an essential car user allowance of £103 per month and other additional benefits.
