We are urgently recruiting for a HR Manager; you will be working for a well-established organisation based within the manufacturing and distribution industry and they have been established for 30+ years based in Tamworth.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice and support service to Managers and Employees.  This is a hands-on role with direct line management for 2 people. You will be required to travel the Worcestershire and Scotland site as and when required.

As the HR Manager, you will be:

  • Managing complex employee relation issues such as disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, redundancy etc
  • Developing, reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and contracts / Employee Handbook in accordance with legislation
  • Participating in management meetings and advising of the employee relations impact of decisions
  • Reviewing and updating Job Descriptions with Line managers
  • Managing disciplinary and grievance cases including ensuring compliance with procedures, current best practice and legislation
  • Coaching Managers giving them the skills and confidence to manage people issues
  • Working in collaboration with the external Health & Safety Advisors to ensure we are compliant
  • Coaching Managers giving them the skills and confidence to manage people issues including difficult and sensitive issues
  • Working with recruitment agencies to negotiate with agencies, finding alternative solutions to recruitment as appropriate and preparing Job Descriptions and referencing
  • Providing management reports to the Board of Directors and covering ad hoc projects

As the HR Manager, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within a similar position
  • Generalist Human Resources experience working within the Manufacturing sector or working for an SME organisation 
  • A CIPD qualification or relevant HR qualification
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • You may have experience of the following: Human Resources Manager, Advisor, Officer, Assistant, Personnel Advisor, Human Resources Consultant or you may have studied for your CIPD to support your career

As the HR Manager, you will receive a salary of circa £40,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience plus a fantastic range of benefits.
