A leading and accredited organisation in the IT field who provide a huge range of products and services to their customers are looking for a Buyer to join their team in Birmingham.

Joining a business formed over 20 years ago, you will bring a strategic approach to your own category whilst using your network to continually keep ahead of market trends for your customers. As a Buyer, your daily duties will include:

  • Engaging with distributors and vendors to keep an up to date knowledge of market trends and negotiating exclusive deals and offers.
  • Managing pricing from distribution for your category.
  • Managing large deals within your own category and completing deal registration and follow-ups within agreed SLA’s
  • Attending supplier visits to gain exposure and build relationships with stakeholders in the industry.
  • Liaising with the administration team to ensure the products are accurate and up to date on the in-house database and external websites.

To be a successful Buyer, you will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working within procurement.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Experience as a Buyer, Procurement Administrator, Purchasing Manager, Management Buyer or Buying Supervisor would be beneficial as well as experience in the Supply Chain, Merchandising or Category Management sectors.

Based in Birmingham City Centre, you will receive a salary of up to £30,000 per annum.
