We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a lively accounts team based in West Bromwich. This is a temporary position to start immediately for 3 months.

You will be working in a modern office for an organisation that has been established for 25 years as one of the largest independent suppliers in their market across the UK. This company offers free onsite car parking and is also easily accessible by public transport.
 

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be:

  • Accurately entering up to 1000 purchase invoices per month
  • Raising payments to suppliers
  • Answering incoming telephone calls regarding payment and finance queries
  • Using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
     

To be successful as the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will have:

  • Previous purchase ledger or accounts payable experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel at a basic level
  • You may have experience working as an Accounts Payable Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant, Finance Clerk, Sales Ledger Clerk, Accounts and Finance Graduate or AAT qualified.
  • We are also interested in speaking to people with experience of using SAGE, Xero, Quickbooks or people who have the following qualifications: AAT, ACCA or CIMA.
     

Your salary will be circa £18,000 per annum / £8.65 per hour with the possibility of negotiation depending on experience.
