Stock Supervisor

A fantastic opening has arisen for a Stock Supervisor to join a manufacturing company based in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. You will be working for a company that has been established for over 40 years and are constantly expanding and they are now launching their products within Great Britain.  For this position, you will be based between the logistics department based in West Bromwich and the office based in Handsworth Wood.
As a Stock Supervisor, you will be:
  • Overseeing all picking, packing and distribution activity to ensure goods are dispatched in a timely fashion
  • Managing stock holding levels in the 3rd party logistics depot to ensure accuracy
  • Liaising with purchasing, sales, and other warehouse and logistics depots to ensure adequate stockholding for all product lines to supply the GB market
  • Monitoring and reviewing minimum stock holdings per depot against average sales analysis
  • Monitoring and analysing stock availability, supplier lead times, stock turnover and stock holding
  • Managing slow-moving stock lists by rotating the stock
  • Liaising with Warehouse Operatives and internal and external logistic systems/companies
  • Managing control measures to ensure discrepancies and inaccuracies are highlighted and resolved
  • Ensuring that all legal health & safety requirements are met
  • In conjunction with the 3rd party logistics team, planning the arrangement of goods within the warehouse for effective picking
  • Ensuring product quality and timely delivery objectives are met
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning for future capacity requirements
  • Managing all product returns to the depot as per company guidelines
As the Stock Supervisor, you will have:
  • Previous experience working within a similar position
  • A qualification in logistics and supply chain management would be an advantage, however, this is not essential
  • Experience working in busy warehouse/logistics depot
  • Highly organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good numeracy and administrative skills with the ability to analyse figures
  • Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • A full clean drivers’ licence
  • A Forklift license
  • You may have experience of working as one of the following: Inventory Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, Stock Controller, Logistics Manager or Stock Manager
As the Stock Supervisor, you will receive a salary of up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience plus fantastic benefits.
