This is a new position that has been created working for a Construction company based in West Bromwich. You will be an essential part of the Accounts & Finance Team and will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations and month-end reconciliation and reporting.
Working as the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, your duties will include:
- Being responsible for the purchase ledger invoice processing, dealing with up to 300 invoices daily
- Dealing with the supplier statement reconciliation and payment processing
- Maintaining the bank and visa reconciliation
- Managing lease payments and accruals
- Reconciling the nominal accounts
- Dealing with the month-end reports (Sage & Contract Costing)
- Dealing with invoice queries as and when required
- Supporting with payroll as and when required
As the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, you will:
- Possess previous experience working within a busy finance department, experienced in processing a high volume of purchase invoices
- Have previous experience working within the Construction or Civil Engineering sector, however, this is not essential
- Hold an Accounting, AAT/ACCA, or a Degree in Business Finance, however, this is not essential
- You may have experience working as one of the following: Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Accounts Supervisor, Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, PL Clerk, Ledger Clerk, Finance Manager, Assistant Accountant or experienced working within a similar role dealing with a high volume of invoices.
As the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, your salary will be circa £30,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience plus a fantastic range of benefits.
