Are you driven by a passion for sustainability and eager to make a real impact? A dynamic and expanding organisation in West Bromwich are on the lookout for a dedicated Sustainability Officer to join their forward-thinking team.

As a key player in their mission to achieve Net Zero by 2050, you'll enjoy a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year. Plus, their outstanding benefits package includes an electric company car to drive your commitment to sustainability even further.

You will be based at their Head Office with travel to various locations as required, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

In your role as Sustainability Officer, you will:

  • Drive the development of sustainable practices across the business, ensuring long-term positive outcomes for clients and employees through innovative projects and initiatives
  • Lead efforts to reduce carbon emissions, set and manage carbon targets for key clients and contribute significantly to Net Zero goals
  • Craft and oversee proposals, secure funding through grant applications and implement new projects
  • Compile comprehensive reports and presentations, effectively communicating achievements to senior management and clients and maintain the company's sustainability information on their website
  • Monitor critical markers like energy and resource usage, waste management and recycling practices
  • Champion social responsibility, co-ordinate social value activities and integrate these principles into the company’s ethos, while promoting diversity and inclusion


As the Sustainability Officer, you will have:

  • Previous experience in sustainable and social value reporting
  • A degree in climate or environmental science or other relevant degree
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to drive goals forward
  • You may have experience in any of the following: Climate Officer, Energy Manager, Climate Change Manager, Sustainable Projects Coordinator, Social Responsibility Manager, Environmental Projects Officer, Net Zero Consultant, Events & Partnerships Manager. Experience with the EcoVadis platform is advantageous but not essential
