You will be based at their Head Office with travel to various locations as required, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
In your role as Sustainability Officer, you will:
- Drive the development of sustainable practices across the business, ensuring long-term positive outcomes for clients and employees through innovative projects and initiatives
- Lead efforts to reduce carbon emissions, set and manage carbon targets for key clients and contribute significantly to Net Zero goals
- Craft and oversee proposals, secure funding through grant applications and implement new projects
- Compile comprehensive reports and presentations, effectively communicating achievements to senior management and clients and maintain the company's sustainability information on their website
- Monitor critical markers like energy and resource usage, waste management and recycling practices
- Champion social responsibility, co-ordinate social value activities and integrate these principles into the company’s ethos, while promoting diversity and inclusion
As the Sustainability Officer, you will have:
- Previous experience in sustainable and social value reporting
- A degree in climate or environmental science or other relevant degree
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to drive goals forward
- You may have experience in any of the following: Climate Officer, Energy Manager, Climate Change Manager, Sustainable Projects Coordinator, Social Responsibility Manager, Environmental Projects Officer, Net Zero Consultant, Events & Partnerships Manager. Experience with the EcoVadis platform is advantageous but not essential
