Permanent Team Administrator Based in Birmingham City Centre 

Hart Recruitment is delighted to work for a well-established company based in Birmingham City Centre. Our client operates across the insurance and memberships industry and is looking to appoint a new, part-time Team Administrator.    

  • Hours: Part-time, permanent. 22.5 hours per week across 5, 4 or 3 days. School hours will be considered. 
  • Location: Based in Birmingham, the position is based within the office. With occasional travel across the UK to support organising activity
  • Salary: £23,400 per annum pro rata for Part Time hours / Hourly pay rate is £12 per hour. 

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Permanent Team Administrator to join their Organising & Engagement department in Birmingham. The successful candidate will receive 32 days holiday including Bank Holidays, the BHSF healthcare scheme, the NEST pension scheme and the occupational sick pay scheme.

As the Team Administrator, your key responsibilities include:

  • Provide centralised administration support for the Organising & Engagement department
  • Support recruitment, retention, and development of members through events and communications
  • Assist in the organisational and communication support for the director of Organising & Engagement
  • Ensure necessary administrative resources are available for team activities and member events
  • Organise travel, accommodation, and meeting arrangements for the team
  • Collate and record expense claims and maintain communications with reps and members
  • Provide support for NEC meetings and Rep and Member training and events
  • Undertake research and mapping via employers and sectors to support the work of the O&E team
  • Recruit and engage student members and reps through staffing of stands at local events

The job requirements & competencies include:

  • Previous experience working for a Membership or Trade Union organisation
  • Experience working with volunteers and in a membership organisation, would be preferable
  • Excellent organisational capabilities
  • Previous administration and organisational experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage external suppliers
  • You may have experience working in any of the following: PA, Administrator, Office Coordinator, Office Clerk, Trade Union Administrator, Membership Administrator or any other similar position
