We are seeking a Display Build Operative & Fitter to join a manufacturing company based in Hamstead, Birmingham. Benefits include free car parking, 32 days holiday including Bank Holidays and pension.
You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. When working on site in Hamstead, standard work patterns are 8-4.30 / 9-5 or similar with 30 min unpaid lunch break. Flexibility of work hours are required for this role (e.g. early starts, late finishes) and overnight lay-overs are required for this role.
As the Display Build Operative & Fitter, your duties will include:
- Building product displays & point of sale, onsite at premises, using hand/power tools
- Installing display boards, POS, and products in customer showrooms
- Operating safely, following health & safety regulations and procedures
- Safely resolve any on-site practical issues such as unexpected complications when fitting
- Representing the Company professionally in all interactions with Customers
- Ensuring display materials are fitted in accordance with Brand Guidelines
As the Display Build Operative & Fitter, you will have:
- Previous experience working with hand/power tools
- You should be experienced in Tiling or Bathroom Fitting Experience and Shop Fitting Experience, however, this is not essential
- A full UK driving licence
- Friendly, warm character for customer-facing interactions
- Able to build rapport quickly and interact positively with customers & colleagues
- Prepared to travel in the UK (including overnight stays 1-2 nights per week)
- You may have experience working in any of the following: Showroom Display Installer, Display and Signage Installer, Event Installation Technician, Display Set-Up Technician, Exhibition Fitter, Fitter, Handyperson, Maintenance Engineer or any other similar position
As the Display Build Operative & Fitter, your salary will be up to £30,000 depending on experience.
