Sales Controller

We are recruiting for a Sales Controller to join our client, a global organisation that manufactures and distributes various metals based in Wednesbury, West Midlands.  Your responsibility will be to administer key accounts under the direction of the Commercial Manager, supporting sales and efficiently managing stock and order books. 
 
Your benefits will include hybrid working – working 1 day a week from home (after probation), a 2pm finish once a month, 28 days holiday, including Bank Holidays (holidays increase with service up to a maximum of 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays), holiday trading, pension, employee assistance portal, 24-hour access to GP health hero app, on-site health screening and employee discounts. 
 
Hours of work are 8.50am to 5pm Monday to Friday.  
 
As the Sales Controller, your duties will include:
  • Administering key accounts under the direction of the Commercial Manager, investing time to develop relationships with key contacts throughout the customer's business
  • Supporting sales and efficiently managing stock and order books
  • Obtaining and prompting enquiries from existing customers
  • Regularly review accounts with the Commercial Manager to identify opportunities and determine future tactics
  • Responding to customer enquiries professionally and within agreed timescales
  • Processing all customer orders efficiently and accurately
  • Generating and managing accurate and easily accessible information for all customers
  • Analysing data and producing regular reports to the Commercial Manager
  • Regularly review customers' credit limits to ensure stock levels and incoming stock is taken into consideration
  • Monitoring aged, non-moving, excessive or obsolete stock
As the Sales Controller, you will have:
  • Previous experience working within a similar position, providing an exceptional customer experience
  • An understanding of how to monitor stock
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-conscious and efficient with a 'get it right first time' attitude
  • Proactive, initiative-driven, and able to propose solutions
  • You may have experience working in any of the following: Sales Controller, Account Manager, Customer Service Advisor, Sales Account Manager, Sales Manager, Account Coordinator, Sales Support, Client Services Advisor or any other similar position
Salary will be between £25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.
