An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director for a leading SME based in Great Barr, Birmingham. You will be joining a market leader in the manufacturing sector, the business is fast-paced, customer orientated and the company is growing.
Hours of work are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00 am to 2.00 pm on Fridays. Benefits include 31 days holiday including Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown and free car parking.
Working as the Finance Manager, your duties will include:
- Being responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping including managing the reconciliation
- Cover for the weekly and monthly payroll, using Sage payroll
- Ensuring that the day-to-day finance procedures are operating efficiently working with the FD so that the monthly management accounts are prepared in a timely and accurate manner
- Providing Sales and Margin analysis, including stock analysis
- Preparing and presenting profit and loss analysis
- Managing the cash book as and when required
As the Finance Manager, you will have:
- Previous experience in working within an SME environment in a hands-on finance role
- Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector, understanding the disciplines of costing and stock
- Previous experience in processing payroll, however, this is not essential
- Knowledge of Sage 50, however, this is not essential
- You may have experience working as one of the following: Finance Controller, Head of Accounts, Finance Manager, Assistant Accountant, Accountant, Bookkeeper or any other similar position
Your salary will be between £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
