You will be working for a leading supplier within the engineering industry based in Oldbury. You will be working 1:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Thursday and 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Fridays with a 30-minute unpaid lunch plus two 15 minutes paid breaks.
The successful candidate will be I.T. Literate
As the FLT and Warehouse Operative, you will be:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, picking and packing items for dispatch and booking goods in
- Ensuring all required paperwork is up to date
- Utilising manual handling equipment, cutting to requirements, completing inspections and packing finished goods
- Operating Bandsaws in the stainless-steel section (previous band saw experience isn't essential as training will be provided)
- Completing documents and relevant data within SAP
- Maintaining identification and traceability of products throughout the entire process
- Complying with safe working practises, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses in the workplace
- Achieving individual and team productivity performance standards including accuracy
- Have experience operating Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks
- Experience operating an overhead crane (up to 20 tonnes) would be an advantage
- Be computer literate; knowledge of SAP ideal
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Have the ability to reprioritise tasks
- You may have experience of the following: Saw Machine or Steel Operative, Bandsaw or Saw Operator, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Production Assistant or Production or Warehouse Operative or Warehouse Assistant
The hourly rate will be £11.54ph/circa £24,000 per annum.
