You will be managing the HR function and helping to build a culture of staff empowerment and value. You will receive 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, rising to 38 days with service, plus 2 additional days holiday per year available based on attendance and no car parking fees.

Formed in 1972, you will be working for a housing charity that helps those facing homelessness and unemployment. They have recently been re-awarded the Investors in People silver accreditation as well as a Governance Assessment Process (GAP) award as part of their successful work.

As the Head of HR, you will be:

  • Based in West Bromwich and travelling to other sites as required, providing full HR generalist support and managing a team of 3 staff
  • Providing advice and leadership in change management, including restructuring, redundancies and TUPE processes both into and out of the business
  • Managing employee relations including grievances, disciplinary processes and dismissals
  • Delivering on the People strategy including recruitment, training & development, attendance management, reward & recognition and performance management
  • Maintaining the relationship with the outsourced payroll function
  • Managing the departmental budget 


To be successful as the Head of HR, you will have:

  • Previously managed staff within Human Resources and worked within a multisite organisation
  • Experience in TUPE processes
  • Possess a full driving licence and access to a car
  • You may also have experience of any of the following: Human Resources Manager, Personnel Manager, People Manager, Head of People, Head of Human Resources, Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Director, Director of People, OD Manager, CIPD


The Head of HR will receive a salary of £43,400 per annum, increasing to £45,675 per annum following the successful completion of your 6-month probationary period plus the following benefits -

  • 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, rising to 38 days with service
  • 2 additional days holiday per year available based on attendance

  • Pension scheme of 4% contribution from both employer and employee, rising to 5% after 12 months
