Are you an HR Professional who works within the Education sector? Are you seeking an all-embracing and challenging role? We are currently recruiting for an HR Manager to join our client located on the northside of Birmingham City Centre.  Free car parking is available.

You will be driving strategic Human Resources objectives through the organisation and be at the forefront of developing policies and procedures, managing change within the organisation and having direct line management of the Human Resource Administrator.  Benefits include free parking, an excellent contributory pension scheme (20%) and 37 days holiday including Bank Holidays.  

As the HR Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Management Team and be:

  • Responsible for the drafting, development, and implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Managing complex employee relations casework in such areas as disciplinary, grievance, investigations and absence management
  • Providing specialist advice, guidance, and support to all employees
  • Supporting change management, including the review & reorganisation of departmental job roles and working with management to achieve objectives
  • Managing projects including the implementation of new software programmes to manage and organise processes
  • Involved in the selection and audit of potential schools to join the academy

As the HR Manager, you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Human Resources Professional ideally from the Education Sector
  • The ability to develop and implement policies and procedures into practical solutions
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Experience of effectively managing change in a business environment
  • Experience of dealing with difficult and confidential situations in a professional and diplomatic manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written with the ability to engage with colleagues and all levels
  • You may have experience of the following: Human Resources Business Partner, Personnel Manager, People Officer, Assistant, Personnel Advisor or Human Resources Consultant

As the HR Manager, you will receive a salary of circa £42,500 per annum depending on experience. You will also receive the following benefits:

  • 37 days holiday including Bank Holidays

  • Working Hours are Monday – Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, Friday 8 am - 3 pm
