We are urgently recruiting for 2 x IT Technicians; you will both be working for a well-established organisation based within the manufacturing and distribution industry and they have been established for 30+ years based in Tamworth. As the IT Technician, you will be:
- Setting up user- specific workstations with necessary peripheral devices
- Competent with basic machine repairs and upgrades
- Installing and configuring company software to required specifications
- Able to deliver training to users on company software on an arranged and ad-hoc basis
- Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
- Using the ticketing system to capture a log of work completed and help highlight and resolve ongoing issues
- Identifying computer or network equipment shortages and request replenishments through identified channels
- Completing physically demanding tasks across multiple large sites for sustained periods of time
- Supporting the IT Support department in maintaining a tidy, accessible and safe working environment
As the IT Technician, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a similar position, however, this is not essential
- Relevant IT based qualifications, however, this is not essential
- An interest in Apple based operating systems MACOS, IOS and IPADOS
- Passion for technology and a drive to further develop that interest
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- A working understanding of internet security and data privacy principles
- A full UK Driving Licence is desirable
- Basic understanding of hardware and generic software settings across all types of devices
- You may have experience of working as one of the following: 1st line Technician, 1st Line Support, 1st Line Customer Advisor, IT Apprentice, IT Co-ordinator, Technical Customer Advisor, Technical Support Advisor or you will have a keen passion for IT
